Did you know...
- A leak from the average "running" toilet could waste up to a gallon of water every 30 seconds? Even a small leaky toilet could waste up to a gallon per minute!!!
- An easy test would be to take food coloring and add it to your toilet tank. After the toilet stops filling, add food coloring to the tank (being careful not to drip in overflow tube). Next, wait approximately 1 minute and see if any color is visible in the toilet bowl. If not, great! If so, you probably have a leak, and you should call a plumber!
- Another helpful hint is to periodically check around the base of the toilet. If water is present anywhere around the toilet, you most likely have a bad seal.
