Hello, my name is Rick Ames, and I have been in the plumbing business for 28 years. I began in 1982, working in new construction plumbing. After 8 years, I moved on to a bigger company that specialized in repair plumbing and new installation of fixtures. Plumbing repair can sometimes be a real challenge, but I thoroughly enjoyed helping people solve their plumbing issues.
In my years as a plumber, I have learned that listening to the voice of the customer is an important principle to live by. Customer service is something I not only take pride in, but enjoy providing to each client. It is the foundation of my business. I understand that it is sometimes worrisome for people to hire someone who charges by the hour. When I give a quote, it will be for the entire job, materials and labor included. I will also give you an opportunity to become an Ames Plumbing Plan client, which provides you with priority treatment, great discounts, and a thorough annual inspection of your entire plumbing system, including your water heater. Any problems would be disclosed, and it would be your option as to how we would proceed(keep in mind, repairing small problems is always cheaper than fixing a large problem).
